FastMemo Privacy Policy

1. Purpose of Personal Information Processing

FastMemo processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for purposes other than those listed below, and if the purpose of use changes, we will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

• App Service Provision: Providing memo writing, storage, and management features
• Advertising Service: Displaying ads through Google AdMob and Google Ads campaign management
• Analytics and Statistics: Analyzing app usage and improving services through Firebase Analytics

2. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information

FastMemo stores memo data written by users in the device's local storage, which is kept only on the user's device. It is not transmitted to servers or shared externally.

When a user deletes the app, all data is deleted together.

3. Personal Information Items Processed

FastMemo processes the following personal information items:

• Device Information: Advertising ID, device model, and OS version for advertising services
• App Usage Data: Memo content written by users (local storage only)
• Analytics Data: App usage statistics collected through Firebase Analytics (session information, event data, screen view records)

Note: Memo content is stored only on the user's device and is not transmitted externally. Firebase Analytics data is stored on Google servers and processed according to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

FastMemo does not provide users' personal information to external parties in principle. However, exceptions are made in the following cases:

• Google AdMob: Advertising ID may be used to provide advertising services.
• Firebase Analytics (Google): User's session information and event data may be transmitted to Google servers for app usage analytics.
• Google Ads: Advertising performance data may be provided to Google for campaign measurement and advertising optimization.

5. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

FastMemo does not entrust personal information processing tasks.

6. Rights and Obligations of Information Subjects and How to Exercise Them

Users can exercise the following rights at any time:

• Request to view personal information
• Request correction in case of errors
• Request deletion
• Request suspension of processing

These rights can be exercised by deleting the app, which will delete all data.

7. Destruction of Personal Information

FastMemo promptly destroys personal information when it becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the retention period or achievement of the processing purpose.

When a user deletes the app, all stored memo data is deleted together.

FastMemo is responsible for overseeing personal information processing tasks and has designated a personal information protection officer as follows to handle complaints and damage relief related to personal information processing:

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will be notified through in-app announcements 7 days before the implementation date of any additions, deletions, or modifications due to changes in laws, policies, or security technology.

10. Advertising and Cookies

FastMemo displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies to provide advertising. Advertising-related settings can be managed in Google account settings.

11. Purpose of Permission Usage

FastMemo uses the following permissions:

• Internet Permission: Required for displaying ads
• Notification Permission: Required for automatic app launch when screen is unlocked
• Display Over Other Apps Permission: Required for automatic app launch when screen is unlocked
• Battery Optimization Disable: Required for automatic app launch in the background
• Boot Completed Receiver: Required for automatic app launch after device restart

All permissions are necessary to provide the app's core feature (quick memo writing) and are requested with the user's explicit consent.
